AT A GLANCE

Project Type Kitchen Remodel & New Flooring
Location Winchester, Kentucky
Completion Date September 2020
Project Size 2,200 Square Feet

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The owners of this ranch wanted an updated kitchen with new appliances and an open living space that tied everything together.  Their previous kitchen was dated and closed off from the rest of the downstairs making it difficult to move about freely.  They wanted a wide entry way into their dining room for easier accessibility and they wanted to repurpose their old kitchen cabinets for extra storage in their utility room.

They wanted to preserve the classic look of their home while sprinkling in a few modern touches along the way.  We added a new custom island with matching countertops features a cooking range and breakfast bar that offered even more cabinet space than was initially anticipated.  Granite countertops and custom designed accents, added to the overall look and feel of the space.

New cabinets spanning up to the ceiling gave them nearly double the storage, and the classic wood finish complimented the style of their existing décor.  We removed a small section of wall that gave them access to multiple rooms downstairs, allowing their new kitchen to flow perfectly with their existing layout.
